From a Letter Sent to Two-Rock Management...
I just wanted to take a second and write you guys about a great dealer of your fine products Craig Priest of Miami Florida.
I called the guy for a little info and expected the same old quick..........whatta want to know? and Rush off becuase my time is too valuable experience but instead what I got was a hour long in depth discussion about Two Rock amps and I not only got all mt questions answered I found out things about these great amps I never knew and I hadn't read on the Guitar forums.
He was so cool to deal with I bought the amp and bottom that night with all kinds of great garantees and offers to change up speakers and ................whatever it takes to make me happy. That kind of service is missing in this world. On Top of all that I got a product that I could not be happier with. A Two Rock Emerald Pro 50 reverb and bottom. I couldn't be happier with the amp and with Craigs service.
I am not a Rich guy. I am a Civil servant here in St. Lucie County Florida (Deputy Sheriff) so spending what I did took alot of blood sweat and tears from me. If all your dealers are as full of passion about the amps as Craig you guys are gonna sell alot of them. Best of all........I feel I got my monies worth and then some.
My Serial number is 248...........would you guys let me know if you come up with any upgrades? How would that work? Could I send it directly to you of do I need to go through craig? Also.........if you have a owners manual lying around for it I'd really appriciate it.
Thanks!

Two Rock Jet in the House! (warning; long winded)
My search for a grab and go amp for jams and unique rehearsals is, apparently, over. As a Fuchs fanatic, I recently picked up a TDS 100 combo from a fellow GP'er to fill the aforementioned role. I conveniently ignored the 28" wingspan and 65 lb weight, lol. The amp not only kicks ass tonally, but also kicks my ass trying to deftly carry it around. It's certainly a keeper but not for the intended role (review to follow at a later date).
So, just by karmic koincidence, I stumble upon a used TR Jet being offered on ebay. I buy the thing and am introduced to Craig Priest, proprietor of www.thetonesmith.com. He ships me Jet, serial #1, which UPS proceeds to LOSE! When I call him to tell him that "houston, we have a problem" he immediately offers to send me a brand new Jet that he has in stock....for the same price! Customer service like that needs to get out!! So, if anyone is looking for a Two Rock, I would strongly suggest contacting Craig for one of the most stand-up and conscientious merchants with whom I've done business. Craig, I can't thank you enough!!
Back to the Jet....So, this tiny little amp emerges from the huge packing box that Craig sent. 15 x 18 x whatever and it only weighs 31 lbs!! I plug in with a chambered Suhr tele (p90 at the neck) and get the most gorgeous, full, round and glassy cleans...much more organic than the rather hi-fi cleans on my Em Pro. Then, with bated breath I hit the footswitch for the od and get the rich, thick, woody, touch sensitive od with which I am so familiar from my Fuchs amps. Again, not the more focused and grainy od on my Em Pro but a real visceral, fat, chewy od that just sings. Roll back on the guitar tone and the bridge single coil sounds like a humbucker; full on treble and it just cuts like a sword. Back off on pick attack and the notes bloom full and round with just a hint of wool at the edges, a little stronger attack yields edgy, sharper definition, dig in hard and the notes just scream. Harmonics jumping all over the place but easy to control with the slightest amount of damping. Beautifully subtle to spacey, lush 'verb too. The only negative is that there is only so much low end that can be generated from something the size of a large cereal box, lol. (Wheaties ain't got nothin' on the Jet) But, I have an idea....I hook up a rarely used Rivera los lowbottom 12" powered sub cab. Hot damn does that fill out the bottom end. Running off the Jet's fx loop I can basically bi amp the rig sending just the low mids on up through to the Jet. After a few minutes you don't really "notice" the sub until you take it out of action upon which, the bottom just vaporizes. Don't get me wrong, the Jet has a generous amount of low end for its diminutive size but not when you are used to 2x or 4x12 cabs. The TR 65 speaker is articulate, punchy yet smooth right out of the gate and only promises to get better as it is broken in. Granted, using the Rivera sub negates that portability factor but what a kick-ass sound! However, I would have no problem at all, living with the response of the mini-TR all on its own, especially with a profile not much larger than a lunch box. BTW this is the 2 6L6, wolf in sheeps clothing, version spitting out about 35 watts of hellacious tone.
(can ya tell i'm kinda likin' it?) My Soloway Swan through it is incredibly articulate; clean notes sustain forever and with split coils is brilliant and glassy. A Fender masterbuilt tele goes from big and round to stinging with no icepicks in site. Prsi and Bakers with HB's need the tone controls rearranged but provide big, full neck pup sounds and a thick, biting bridge pup voice. Ah, sorry, you get the picture......
Is it worth the fairly significant tariff, not to everyone, but it certainly is to me. Also makes me want to try one of the newer Custom Reverb Sig's, or whatever. The Jet lacks all the bells and whistle switches, etc offered on its big brothers, so I can only imagine....but for the mission at hand, this little critter kicks serious ass!!
